Engagement Chicken? #evilbooks

Ugh. Things like this are THE WORST. People who but these things are also THE WORST. Though, the worst of THE WORST are the people who write them. Like, how many people had to green-light this thing in order for it to make it to print? Someone had to have the idea, be encouraged by other people that it was a good idea, they had to write it, somebody edited it, they had to find a publisher and it had to win out over ALL the other possible books that could have been made. What a waste of resources. Like, this would be a waste even if it were just a stupid website, never mind all the paper/ink/energy/etc that went into making this a physical object. Like, FINE, make your stupid recipe booK but do you really have to market it as something women can use to “catch a man”?! Aren’t we past this yet?!?! It’s NOT the 50s anymore. I find the concept of trying really hard to “get someone to marry you” really revolting. Like, don’t you want your boyfriend to want to marry you because you’re lovely and awesome and great and you’re in love and not because you somehow tricked him into it using various “husband catching” techniques including (but not limited to) your chicken recipe?Just…ugh.
